Refractory mastic adhesive cartridge

FULGURANT refractory mastic adhesive is based on alkaline silicates and asbestos-free refractory fillers for bonds exposed to high temperatures.
It is suitable for fixing stove ropes (glass or ceramic fibres), bonding fibrous products (rock wool, glass fibre,…), bonding ducts, sleeves and other refractory products, and fixing refractory products onto metal parts exposed to high temperatures. Other possible applications: fitting refractory bricks in ovens and heating appliances and sealing the joints between exhaust pipe sections.
- Clean the surfaces properly (neither dusty nor greasy)
- Dampen porous surfaces (bricks, …)
- Do not apply the mastic if the temperature is below +5°C or above +40°C.
- Apply the adhesive over the surface, in beads or in dabs, and position the refractory material, pressing the adhesive flat.
- Hold the assembly in place for a few moments, leave to dry for about 48 hours at room temperature.
- Raise the temperature gradually without putting the assembly in direct contact with the flame.
- Equipment is cleaned with water (hot if possible).
- Store at a temperature between +5°C and +30°C. At 20°C, the shelf life of the product in its closed original packaging is 36 months.
- Continuous storage at a higher temperature may, in some cases, alter the final characteristics of the product.
- The product must not be used where there is contact with water or high humidity, in too great a thickness (> a few mm) or for structural bonding (heavy items subject to impact and vibration, for example).
- The product is not suitable for bonding glass (stove glass, for example) or enamelled surfaces.
- The adhesive may settle out. In this case, remove the supernatant or re-mix the product before use.
